Setting Up a Screen Saver

Setting a screensaver for your mobilephone might get tricky and annoying at first. Unlike s40 devices where you can just go to your image, hit options then select “set as screensaver”, you will need to dig down several menus just to find out where to set it for your s60 device. In addition, you will need to configure some display settings for it to work properly.

This might seem to be very common for others but for those who want to know how to set it up for your mobilephone, follow these steps:

1. Go to Themes > Power Saver

2. Select Animation (make sure a check mark appears next to it) then hit Options > Settings

3. Select Animation File, then browse that gif or swf file you wanted to set as screensaver.

4. On Animation Time-out, indicate how long you want your screensaver to stay visible on display.

5. On Light Time-out set it to off, or to a value that is longer than the Animation Time-out.

6. Go to Display Settings.

7. On Power Saver time-out, set the number of seconds for how long you want the phone to wait before displaying the screensaver.

Important:

8. Still on the Display Settings, select Light Time-out, then set it to a value that is longer than (the value you set on [step 4] plus the value you set on [step 7])

That’s it. Step 8 is important so that backlight is available until the screensaver is finished doing its job. You won’t like the light off already when the screensaver have not started yet or while the screensaver is playing.

Tip: On [step 4], the maximum possible input is 60secs for animation time-out. If you want your screensaver to be displayed the longest time possible, I suggest setting it to a value that is just equal to (60secs minus the value you set on power saver time out [step 7]) and then on [step 8], set the light time out to 60secs. That way, the screensaver stops playing as soon as the light times out. Saves some battery.

P.S. I know having a screensaver = additional battery usage. I only do this when I know I will not be doing too much with my n82 and when I’m confident that I have more than enough battery. How I wish that we can set different display and screensaver settings based on the current profile, so it’s easier to set the screensaver on and off.

se ti fai un giro nel forum... scopri che non sono tutti che lo sanno!

per quanto riguarda invece mettere un'imm. o foto come screensaver puoi fare la seguente:

ti scarichi la demo di swishmax (www.swishzone.it), una volta avviato

6. a questo punto non dovete fare altro che copiare e incollare il file nome.swf appena salvato nella memory card ed impostarlo come screensaver

p.s.: sempre all'interno di swishmax si ha la possibilità di associare alle imm. o al testo degli effetti, basta semplicemente selezionare l'oggetto (imm., foto o testo) e cliccare su Insert--Effect e selezionare l'effetto desiderato

Impostare uno screen saver

Impostare uno screensaver per il tuo cellulare può diventare difficoltoso e stancante a prima vista.A differenza dei cellulari s40 dove vai semplicemente in immagini,opzini e selezioni "imposta come screensaver",nei s60 ti servirà "scavare" in diversi menù solo per scoprire dove si può settarlo.In più,dovrai configurare alcune impostazioni display per farlo andare in modo opportuno.

Questo potrebbe sembrare molto comune per alcuni ma per quelli che vogliono sapere come impostarlo correttamente,seguite questi passi:

1. Andare in Temi>risparmio energetico

2. Selezionare "Animazione" e pigiare "Opzioni->impostazioni"

3. Selezionare file animazione e sfogliare il contenuto della memoria per trovare un file .swf per impostarlo come screensaver.

4. Su "timeout animazione",indicare quanto lo screensaver dovrà stare visibile sul display

5. Su "timeout illuminazione" impostarlo in off,o su un valore che è superiore a "Timeout animazione"

6. Vai a impostazioni del display

7. Su "timeout risparmio energia",impostare un numbero di secondi tanti quanti ne vuoi affinchè il telefono aspetti prima di visualizzare il display

Importante:

8. Ancora in "Impostazioni display" selezionare timeout illuminazione,quindi settarlo a un valore superiore al valore di (il valore che hai messo al punto 4 + il valore al punto 7)

Questo è quanto.Il passo 8 è importante così la retroilluminazione è disponibile finchè lo screensaver non ha finito il suo "lavoro".Non ti piacerà la retroilluminazione spenta già quando ancora lo screensaver non è partito o sta ancora andando.

Suggerimento: Al 4 punto il massimo input possibile è 60 secondi per il timeout animazione. Se vuoi visualizzare il tuo screensaver più a lungo,ti consiglio di settarlo a un valore che è uguale a 60 secondi meno il valore che hai settato al punto 7 e quindi al punto 8,impostare l'illuminazione a 60 secondi.In questo modo,lo screensaver si ferma appena si spegne la retroilluminazione e consuma meno batteria

Qual è il tuo screensaver ora?O preferisci non settarlo?

P.S.So che tenendo uno screensaver si consuma più batteria.Io lo faccio solo quando non farò tanto con il mio n82 e sono sicuro che ho ancora abbastanza batteria.Mi auguro che potremo settare in modo differente il display e lo screensaver basato sul profilo corrente,così è facile mettere lo screensaver stesso on e off.

io ho un solo problema: qualcuno può consigliarmi come fare file .swf??

perchè ho provato con OpenOffice ma quando passo il file sul cell non lo riconosce, mentre altri trovati su internet li legge perfettamente.

potete consigliarmi un altro programma??
