Changelog v1.78 (22.05.2008)

1) Added Italian language pack to installation file. Also our web service, http://sportstracker.nokia.com, supports Italian. Forza Ferrari, forza Kimi!

2) Due to a bunch of requests we've received, we decided to put a little new feature into test use: Nokia Sports Tracker now keeps track of your favourite music while you're exercising. Artist name and song title are now visible in the map view, and you can publish you favourite exercise music titles to the whole world by embedding our Nseries widget to your blog or home page. Web service support for this feature is on its way, stay tuned. This music tracking feature is now in test use. Few missing UI components will be added and visuals will be polished once the development team comes back from well deserved summer holidays. Until then: keep on rockin'!

Overview

Nokia Sports Tracker is a GPS based activity tracker that runs on S60 smartphones. Information such as speed, distance and time are automatically stored to your training diary. To be able to use application for real, you need Nokia S60 3.0 or 3.1 phone with Bluetooth GPS device or Nokia S60 3.0 or 3.1 phone with integrated GPS.

FAQ

1. Which Bluetooth GPS devices are supported?

The application has been tested with Nokia Bluetooth GPS modules (we recommend Nokia LD-4W), but any Bluetooth enabled GPS module known to work with your phone should work. Most of the GPS modules have been designed primarily for car navigation use, therefore their performance in low speed (e.g. walking) may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.

2. How do I install the application?

There are two options: a) use phone browser to access this page and click installation link at the bottom of the page or download the installation package to your computer and perform the installation using PC Suite

3. My track plot has odd jumps and/or the measured distance seems to be too big.

Some GPS receiver are more susceptible to positioning signal strength variations than others. Poor visibility to satellites may cause the calculated position to wonder around, increasing the apparent traveled distance. The situation can be especially challenging in urban canyons (tall buildings blocking the satellite view). User should position the GPS device so that it has clear view to the sky.

4. What phone models are compatible with the application?

List of compatible phones is next to the download link below. The application is compatible with latest Nokia S60 3rd edition phones, such as N71, N73, N75, N76, N80, N80ie, N91, N92, N93, N93i, N95, E50, E60, E61, E61i, E62, E65, E70, E90, 3250, 5500 Sport, 6290, 6110 Navigator.

5. Can I see the recorded workout on a map?

Currently the application does not contain any map content; stay tuned for an update. If you want to see your recorded track on the map, you can export the workout to a file in KML format (in workout summary choose Options->Save as->Export to Google Earth) that can be visualized using 3rd party applications, such as "Google Earth". Example screenshots below, satellite imagery shown is copyrighted by Google.

Here's an example how generated KML files can be visualized using a web browser: sample view. KML file shown can be downloaded from here: Example.kml.

Stranissimo:prova a fare questa cosa: se hai cell con hack certifica l'applicazione usando appunto mobile signer.

Metto nel primo post il link al sito Nokia così vedi tu stesso e al limite scarichi direttamente da li la versione per il tuo tel ....

EDIT:però ho appena notato che dopo averlo cambiato nel primo post...il file non è stato scaricato:ma non è che stavi prendendo il programma per altra versione di telefono?

Ciao.Scusate una domanda ma devo disinstallare la versione precedente che avevo già installata oppure no? Se si tutti i miei dati registrati durante le varie attività sportive praticate le perdo?

scusatemi,la versione per n95 non me la fa proprio installare mi da autore non attendibile,mentre quella per n 82 mi da errore di aggiornamento...come mai???

Vai sul "CLICCA" del primo post:ti rimanda direttamente al download delle versioni di Sports tracker dal sito ufficiale...:scaricala da li e vedi se funge.

A me in passato "errore di aggiornamento" lo dava perché entrava in conflitto con una precedente versione di "Activity monitor".

Se hai quest'ultimo programma aggiornalo all'ultima versione(basta una ricerca con Google) e vedrai che riuscirai ad installare Sports Tracker

Io ho semplicemente aperto il programma, premuto options, selezionato Check for update...

Si è visualizzato il messaggio dove era possibile vedere che era uscita una nuova versione e se volevo installarla, premuto ok e l'aggiornamento è avvenuto...

ok bisogna togliere activity monitor e installare la nuova versione che si chiama step counter e poi sport tracker....

Ho scaricato la nuova versione direttamente dal cellulare e mi ha preso ,senza che dovessi scegliere,la lingua italiana.

Benissimo, ma quando leggo i risultati la scritta "velocità media" e le altre in basso sono troppo lunghe ed "invadono" il risultato rendendolo a volte illeggibile...capita a tutti?Soluzioni?

avete mai provato a mettere il tragitto su google maps?

a me se lo faccio da un problema di precisione, il segno giallo di dove sono passato spesso non corrisponde alla realtà, ho notato però che ciò avviene solo nei tratti che percorro a velocità maggiori, quindi vorrei sapere se c'è un modo per migliorare questa precisione.

A me in passato "errore di aggiornamento" lo dava perché entrava in conflitto con una precedente versione di "Activity monitor".

Se hai quest'ultimo programma aggiornalo all'ultima versione(basta una ricerca con Google) e vedrai che riuscirai ad installare Sports Tracker
