Joiku On Symbiam Device Vs Android Device

Ho un problema per usare JOIKU - vi allego le mail scambiate con JOIKU. Qualcuno può aiutarmi? Grazie Attilio A. Romita

I have installed you version LIGTH on my NOKIA C6 in order to check functionalities before buy the PREMIUM.

I tried two kind of e connection:

1. PC(MS7)NOKIAINTERNET(WiiFI) and it seems to work correctly

2. Toshiba Thrive Tablet (Android Honeycomb) Nokia C6 Wifi, but infortunately the Tablet seems not see the Wifi hotspot Joiku

( same result after a shut off and shut on of the tablet)

(the wifi facility of tablet see many hotspot and the wifi connection works well with other hotspot)

Please could you help me to find a solution that I need before buy the PREMIUM.

Hello. Unfortunately Android devices like your tablet cannot detect ad hoc networks (like Joikuspot) by default. Joikuspot requires ad hoc to be used due to limitations in Symbian OS.

JOIKU, in modo abbastanza criptico dice che non è colpa loro se Symbian permette solo la costruzione di reti ad hoc.

Il poblema non è tanto che JOIKU è limitato e non dichiarato, infatti c'è una versione ridotta free ed è possibile fare tutte le prove.

Il problema è che NOKIA e Symbiam, soprattutto ora che hanno l'accordo con Microsoft, non desidera far nulla per facilitare la vita ad Android. Io ho chiesto al supporto NOKIO se esiste una Nokia Suite per Android e la risposta negativa di Nokia è sintomatica.

In rete si trovano vari suggerimenti per ovviare il problema, ma tutti comportano la necessità di entrare nel sw Symbian ....e c'è il rischio di buttare il telefono.

La mia richiesta/suggerimento è perchè qualcuno molto pratico realizzi un app per Android capace di superare la crisi.

Questa app dovrebbe essere tecnicamente realizzabile perchè già esistono app Android che permettono la ricerca di reti WIFI e vedono le reti ad hoc come per esempio quella generata da Joiku.

Chi sa se qualcuno realizzerà qualcosa di utile.....anche a 10$. :mumble::angel:
