Just thought I would share this with everyone.

Heres my Mod for the N97 Camera

Below that is the files for other phones such as 5800 XM, i8910 HD, N95 8GB etc.

N97:

No Working File Mod As Of Yet

Instructions: *Phone Must Be Hacked*

1) N97: Enable Open4All Patch via Rom Patcher

2) Open X-Plore or Y-Browser (Or any other prefered File Browser)

3) Move or Copy 10282EDC.txt

3) Go into Private and locate Folder 10202be9

4) Paste the File into this folder

5) Restart Phone

X) if your phone is hacked, no matter what phone it is, as long as its running symbian, basically turn off the Caps any way you want and start from step 2.

Simple!

Things You Should Know:

1) Yes, this will increase the File Size of your Photos, some of mine are up at 2MB, but the quality is worth it.

2) Yes, You can remove this Mod by simply deleting the File where you pasted it.

3) Should work on the i8910, but it must be hacked - I have posted the Specific file for it above.

Tests:

1) Copying the N97 version into your N95 8GB or any other camera phonemight enable you to film in 16:9 Widescreen. But if you are willing to try this, its up to you, I can't be held resposible if it messes us anything on your phone. Based on common sense, It shouldn't mess up your phone to test.

Because the N97 and 5800 XM have different camera Modes and MPs, such as Widescreen Video, 5MP or 3.2 MP etc, the file is different from the N95 8GB and other Phones so copying any FP1 modded txt file will not have optimal results (Screen size, resolution etc)

I've found it has made a grate difference on my N97

Scarichi il txt adatto per il tuo modello e lo copi in c\Private\10202be9

Mi sembra chiaro dal post....

questo file era già conosciuto.. porta la compressione jpeg dall'80% al 100%.. ecco xkè la dimensione delle foto aumenta.

invece adesso sono stati creati i file anche per gli altri modelli di cell

Ho provato su n78 fw 31,ma sinceramente non saprei,mi sembrano piu' luminose ma non sono sicuro sia merito dell'hack,anche perchè ho letto in giro che funziona solo se il file era già presente nel cellulare,cosa che nel mio non era.

[EDIT] Penso di aver trovato il problema : la cartella da cercare è in Z non nella memoria telefono,nella guida non è specificato. Ora pero' c'è un altro problema : il file originale non me lo fa toccare,non posso ne eliminarlo ne sovrascriverlo

Ho provato anche attivando la patch C2Z come ho letto in giro,ma non cambia assolutamente nulla :/ non c'è proprio nessun modo di modificare il file in Z:?

ma aumentando la compressione la qualità si riduce =/... mica aumenta...

se ci fosse un modo per scattarle in png allora si che sarebbe una buona cosa...

non è una patch... è un file txt con i parametri modificati.

scarica il file txt per N97 dal primo post, e segui la procedura descritta

I file in z: non possono essere modificati nè sovrascritti.

Tu non devi fare altro che scaricare il file txt per il tuo modello di cell (vedi link al primo post), e poi copia tale file in c\Private\10202be9

mah.... anche io sinceramente ho i miei dubbi sull'efficacia di tale file....

è tuttavia vero che prima dell'hack, scattando una foto a 5M al paesaggio che si vede da camera mia, la dimensione del file era appena sotto il Mega; dopo l'hack, stessa foto, dimensione del file 1,27 Mb.

Tenere questo file in c\Private\10202be9 male non fa...

al limite non cambia nulla

infatti..però a sto punto mi vine un dubbio..non è che per attivarlo diciamo serve la c2z?..perchè il file di deflaut come è stato detto poco sopra è in z., quindi bisognerebbe forzare il cell a leggere quello messo da noi in c o no?

Io l'ho provata sul mio N95-1 è per il momento non ho riscontrato nessun miglioramente... aspetto altri pareri!

Provato su Nokia 5800 XM... stessa foto passata da 260kb a 395kb, anche se la qualità resta cmq quella che è...
