  1. The last time I used Phoenix I used a back up image of XP that I reinstalled so that the OS would be clean with nothing in it. The only cellphone applications I installed were NaviFirm+ and Phoenix. The first time I plugged in my X2-01 I got a popup window, saying new hardware was detected but it said it couldn't find any drivers, then in the lower right, the taskbar gave the usual popup about the hardware might not work properly... Also during a Refurbish, when it was flashing I got a popup at the lower right of the taskbar for a some sort of flash driver, but it said it failed to install it, but Phoneix said the flash was successful... So I don't get that the phone needs a driver or Phoneix and these fail but it flashes ok, so maybe a bug, or I should also install Nokia OVI Suite? Also if I have OVI suite installed with Phoenix does it matter which one is installed first, both applications aren't going to have some of the same drivers and overwrite each other? THANKS
  2. YEAH finally got it, I just put it on my connection and ran refurbish with this newer firmware and it's DEBRANDED! Shessh took long enough, LOL... THANKS P.S. When I look in NaviFirm how can I tell branded firmware, will the name of the company be listed in it?
  3. This is only my second time to flash and my first time using Phoenix, so I'm trying my best... This is the firmware I'm going to try now, downloaded from NaviFirm; http://i52.tinypic.com/25hfv5k.jpg I figure if it's branded firmware, then I'll see the name in it, like the 'Rogers' listed towards the bottom in NaviFirm... THANKS P.S. This isn't working using 'No Connection' in Phoenix, I'm following the instructions exactly, removing usb cable, removing battery, etc... but it just sits, says, waiting for usb...
  4. Nemesis shows it's changing the code and I've done it two times in Nemesis then I've used Nokia OVI Suite and updated it two times, and I've downloaded the firmware with Navifirm and flashed it in Phoenix and it still has the branded T-Mobile firmware in it, it's not letting it for some reason... I read somewhere that these firmware updates might only update a part of the system and not flash all of it, so I'm not sure, all I know is I can't seem to debrand this darn thing... So how can this be possible, why aren't any of these methods debranding the phone? I did not follow all the options for the Phoneix listed here on the forum, I did not understand them. 1. Parse VPL where is this at, I don't see it? 2. I don't see any UDA files? screen shot -- > http://i55.tinypic.com/2a8kwuw.jpg 3. I just did Phoenix like the steps in the images below; 1. http://i55.tinypic.com/2btcol.jpg 2. http://i54.tinypic.com/2gxmc9l.gif 3. http://i53.tinypic.com/35nbg93.jpg 4. http://i53.tinypic.com/wssihc.gif 5. http://i54.tinypic.com/2wmjr54.gif 6. http://i55.tinypic.com/1zgt6vl.jpg 7. http://i51.tinypic.com/5x1l5j.gif The reason I did like the 7 screen shots above, is I didn't like the parts about the patches... When you need to install unsigned files, apply the InstallServer patch. When you need to access to system folders, apply the Open4All patch. Maybe I can go back and follow these steps again and use 'No Connect' and refurbish, I remember I did 'Software Update' and used the USB port... Does the phone need to be unlocked? THANKS
  5. The title of my post is to "Debrand" so I'm confused why you show me Phoenix to use if it can't debrand cell phone... As far as code, in Nemesis it shows the code changed... So how can I "Debrand" this phone? THANKS
  6. I thought I can just change the product code in Nemesis and then use Nokia OVI Suite to update it and that would install the latest Nokia firmware, and debranding it. This is what I did in the past for a Nokia XpressMusic... This link for the Phoenix says this is not for debranding; https://www.nokioteca.net/home/forum/index.php/topic/205004-how-to-hack-any-phone-using-navifirm-phonenix-rp/ I forgot to mention when I type in *#0000# I get this information; X2-01 V 08.63 25-03-11 RM-717 © Nokia Variant: 33.01 Virtual Variant: No virtual variant Language: V 08.63 25-03-11 RM-709 © Nokia NTM What's with TWO RM numbers? I thought a cellphone only has one? THANKS P.S. I don't think you have to go through all the steps listed in that link, I just downloaded the firmware with the NaviFirm and flashed it with Phoenix and it flashed it and in Nemesis I was able to confirm that the code had been changed because of the new firmware, but the T-Mobile software is still in this thing, it is not debranding it... Maybe I need the phone unlocked first?
  7. Hi Guys, I have a T-Mobile X2-01 that I would like to flash/debrand and put on the Nokia firmware and I'm hoping this model can be flashed? Will either the Nemesis or mx-key work? http://www.b-phreaks.co.uk/index.php?main_page=page_2 http://www.mx-key.com/ I flashed an XpressMusic a few years ago with the Nemesis, from what I remember, I just changed the code and flashed it with that, so it could then be recognized by the Nokia PC Suite to upgrade it... Under the battery for the Nokia sticker I found this code; 059D9X6AS27hL40 When I type in *#0000# I get this information; X2-01 V 07.22 16-12-10 RM-717 © Nokia Variant: 33.01 Virtual Variant: No virtual variant Language: V 07.22 16-12-10 RM-709 © Nokia NTM I found these codes; (https://www.nokioteca.net/home/forum/index.php/topic/199727-product-codes-nokia-x2-01-rm-717/) 059C3J4: RM-717 ATZ_N_RED_COM_US 059C3J6: RM-717 ATZ_N_DGREY_COM_US - This might be the code I should use? 059C6V6: RM-717 ATZ_N_LILAC_COM_NA 059D7H8: RM-717 ATZ_N_AZURE_COM_NA 059D816: RM-717 ATZ_N_SILVER_COM_NA 059D9X6: RM-717 AMER-N T-MOBILE PP D-GREY - I take it this is my code for T-Mobile branded? 059G3H2: RM-717 VAR ATZ-N US TMO DEMO DGREY 059G4Z0: RM-717 VAR ATZ-N US T-MOBILE SWAP GREY 059H088: RM-717 VAR ATZ-N CV US RED I haven't tried the Nemesis yet and if it finds this code when I first start it as, 059D9X6, then I'm assuming at this point based on the codes I found above to replace it with 059C3J6 and flash it in Nemesis with that? THANKS
