In realtà Meego non supporterà nativamente i pacchetti di installazione deb ma gli rpm, quindi tutto quanto fatto su Maemo, a meno di non ri-pacchettizzare tutto non sarà utilizzabile su Meego; cosa comunque fattibilissima.

Purtroppo senza firmware funzionante non la puoi ricaricare all'interno del telefono. L'unica alternativa e' procurarti un caricabatterie esterno.

Per installare i driver "Nokia USB ROM" basta scaricare l'NSU dal link seguente: NSU ed inserendo successivamente l'N900 con la procedura sopra descritta questi dovrebbero essere installati automaticamente da Windows

Come rimane acceso ? La retroilluminazione non dovrebbe accendersi! In caso contrario togli la batteria, attendi qualche istante, poi reinseriscila e procedi come sopra. Il tasto "U" lo devi premere e mantenere premuto prima di inserire il cavo USB all'N900 e sino a comparsa della scritta NOKIA. Se l'iconcina USB in alto a destra non ti compare, c'e' poco da fare...purtroppo....se non portarlo in un centro Nokia. L'ultima speranza e' ripetere la procedura di cui sopra su di un PC con Linux.

Prova a flashare seguendo i seguenti passi: (il tutto partendo a telefono spento) 1) collega il cavo USB al PC 2) mantieni premuta la lettere U e collega l'altro capo del cavo USB all'N900 3) dopo qualche istante comparirà la classica scritta NOKIA sul display, ma la retroilluminazione resterà spenta (in ogni modo la scritta sarà visibile) 4) a questo punto dovrebbe comparire in alto a destra l'icona della connessione USB (simile a questa USB icon) 5) ora puoi procedere con il flashing con l'applicazione appropriata come di consueto Facci sapere!

Beh potrebbe anche darsi, ma ritengo la cosa alquanto stupida dal momento che si potrebbe benissimo instaurare una comunicazione video unidirezionale, ovvero solo dall'N900 al PC chiamato.

L'OVI dovrebbe essere visibile con in nuovi applicativi/giochi a partire da giorno 27.

Gli SMS, la rubrica, etc. sono memorizzate nella eMMC, quindi a patto di non flasharla quelle informazioni non andranno perse. Come poi detto correttamente da Auron, le "impostazioni" del sistema operativo invece andranno re-impostate.

Via OTA non perdi assolutamente nulla. Con il re-Flash riporti il dispositivo nello stato in cui l'hai comprato

Entro un paio di giorni (forse anche domani) sara' possibile aggiornare via OTA (che non implichera' nessuna perdita di dati o configurazioni). Ciao a tutti, finalmente ho completato il porting del gioco in oggetto per il nostro N900 e da ieri sera e' disponibile nella repository Maemo extras-devel. Per fissare queste ultime dipendenze installa i pacchetti seguenti nell'ordine riportato (segui la procedura che ho descritto nel messaggio #8): 1) http://repository.maemo.org/pool/maemo5.0/...1+0m5_armel.deb 2) http://repository.maemo.org/pool/maemo5.0/...1+0m5_armel.deb 3) http://repository.maemo.org/pool/maemo5.0/...1+0m5_armel.deb 4) http://repository.maemo.org/pool/maemo5.0/...1+0m5_armel.deb fatto ciò dovresti aver risolto tutti i tuoi problemi. I pacchetti installati manualmente non costituiranno un problema dal momento che il nuovo firmware PR1.2 andrà a rimpiazzare in toto tutte le librerie ed i pacchetti preesistenti. Buon divertimento

Non dovrebbe dipendere dalle librerie, in ogni modo con il prossimo firmware tutti questi problemi dovrebbero risolversi. A proposito, quali sono i programmi che non sono installabili? Quali sono le dipendenze mancanti?

Cosa intendi per "non mi permette l'installazione" ? I pacchetti DEB indicati vanno scaricati in locale, ad esempio nella cartella /home/user/MyDocs e successivamente installati da shell con il comando: dpkg -i <nomepacchetto>.deb

Se le librerie mancanti sono libqt4-gui e libqt4-core (nel frattempo che le cose vengano messe a posto dal nuovo firmware PR1.2) installate manualmente i seguenti pacchetti : http://repository.maemo.org/pool/maemo5.0/...1+0m5_armel.deb http://repository.maemo.org/pool/maemo5.0/...1+0m5_armel.deb Fatto ciò, dovreste essere in grado di installare tutti i programmi che utilizzano le nuove QT4.6.2 dalle repository extras-devel ed extras-testing

Fai attenzione agli spazi e ad entrare nella cartella appropriata, relativa al tema in uso! Ad esempio, se utilizzi il tema di "default", devi digitare da shell: 1) cd /usr/share/themes/alpha <--- "alpha" è la cartella che contiene il tema di "default" 2) cd gtk-2.0 ed a questo punto edita il file "gtkrc" come riportato dal post segnalato (http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=48872) con un qualsiasi editor.
