We unveil Gameloft's third entry in its popular street racer franchise -- first screens included.

August 28, 2006 - Gameloft's Asphalt: Urban GT series is considered one of the premiere racing franchises on mobile, next to I-play's multi-million selling The Fast and Furious installments. The series has even stepped off of the cell screen for a pair of Nintendo DS releases. And now Gameloft turns the racer into a trilogy with the impending release of Asphalt 3: Street Rules, which casts the franchise into the underground world of street racing.
The action stretches across multiple continents -- racers will tear of the streets of St. Petersburg, Tokyo, Honolulu, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Bombay as they make a name for themselves in the cutthroat street scene. Gameloft has licensed twelve real world vehicles (nine cars and three motorcycles) for players to race, ride, and tune to perfection. Licensed vehicles include: Mini Cooper S, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Ducati Desmosedici RR, and the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. Of course, all of these rides won't be available from the get-go, you'll have to earn them by winning a series of increasingly harrowing races. Once safely in your garage, you can tinker with up to 16 different parts categories until you've customized the car to your liking.
Aggression is a major part of street racing, so drivers must push hard in order to run rivals off the road and secure victory. The police, always keen to disrupt the street scene, monitor your activity and if you break through roadblocks, you'll find cruisers bearing down on your position. Of course, all these heat attracts the attention of news media, hungry for flashy footage of reckless racing. The wilder you are, the more notoriety and cash you earn.
With fame comes skin, and Gameloft is heating things up with three ladies that throw themselves at the best racers in the street scene. The three girls will ride along with you once you unlock them, adding a little titillation to the mobile title.
