Download every File Format with the S60 Browser:


1. Get the necessary applications: a file explorer like “X-plore” and the “CorePlayer v1.2.0″. “X-plore” is freeware, the “CorePlayer” however not.



2. Open the “CorePlayer” and select “Options” -> “Tools” -> “Preferences…”.



3. Choose “Select Page” -> “File Associations”.




4. Set a hook at the point “Audio Interchange File Format (AIF)”. Then confirm by choosing “OK” and close the “CorePlayer”.



5. Launch the “X-plore”.



6. Select “Menu” -> “Tools” -> “Configuration”. Set a hook at “Show Hidden files”.



7. Select the path “C:\Data\” and look for the hidden file “coreplayer.ext”. With the file marked, choose “Menu” -> “File” -> “Edit”.

8. Now you should be able to edit the file. Change the part marked in the screenshot “aiff” to the file extension you want to download. In this example, I want to download “*.rar” files; so I am editing the file to “rar”.




9. After editing the file, select “Menu” -> “Save”. The edited part must always be adapted to the file format you want to download.




10. I uploaded the public version of “rotateMe v2.0″ to Rapidshare.com packed into a RAR archive to show you how to download the normally unsupported “.*rar” file format.




11. And the download works! However, you must quickly choose “Hide” seeing the “Download details” window. Otherwise your phone will try to open the file with the “CorePlayer”, because we edited the file to do so.
After the download is finished, select “Later”.




12. Choose “Options” -> “Downloads” to show the downloaded file.




13. Select “Options” -> “Save” and choose the path where you want to save the file. In my case, I can now open the RAR archive with “X-plore”.

This solution works great, with every file format. Only change the file extension in Step 8 and you will be able to download every file you desire.

Only very little files will cause problems, because you cannot select “Hide” fast enough and your phone will try to open it with the “CorePlayer”. Then you should use a file explorer and enter the location “C:\system\dmgr” which is used as temporary saving place for downloaded files.

However, the “Hide” solution should work in most of the cases as this happens only with very little files.

Si ed il browser di default permette solo di scaricare i file "supportati".Opera Mobile invece molte volte ritorna un errore 165 maledetto

Ragazzi problema risolto.Scaricate il Download Manager "SMARTGET",permette di scaricare ogni tipo di file.E' in python

io utilizzo opera 8.65 e scarico di tutto anche i file che non riconosce.....

Infatti confermo. Opera non ha nessuna limitazione nel download: non riconosce i files rar perché non esiste ancora un programma per i rar tipo handy zipman:cioè un programma che operi a livello di sistema operativo come zipman o handy zipman e che faccia riconoscere sia ad opera che al browser di default un file rar. Ma non è un problema: opera e il browser di default scaricano lo stesso il file. È logico che per aprirlo dobbiamo avere installato xplore. Quindi..nessun problema con opera. Scarica tutto.

quoto alla grande!! si parla anche di una nuova versione di opera mobile che dovrebbe leggere i siti flash ti youtube..che ormai dovrebbe uscire!! vedremo

Si,avete ragione però Opera a volte mi da un errore 165 che non capisco.
Altra cosa:smartget è free,Opera si paga

ciao ragazzi...qualche anima pia potrebbe spiegarmi come si usa SmartGet? l'ho installato e si apre correttamente, però non riesco a fargli scaricare il file che voglio prendere...come funziona questo programma? debbo usare il browser della nokia e poi smartget scarica lui?

il trick funziona alla perfezione! ho scaricato un rar che è una bellezza, solo occhi ad essere veloci a premere il tato nascondi una volta finito il download...

per kasper, quando dice "Choose "Select Page" -> "File Associations" devi premere il tasto di selezione sinistro, cioè quello sopra il tasto menù del tuo nokia e ti si apre la pagina con l'opzione desiderata...

ps: scusate se rinnovo la domanda, ma a qualcuno gli funziona smartget? e se si, come bisogna impostarlo'

Che versione hai di CorePlayer? Io ho la 1.1.2 build 1971. Quando faccio Menu --> Tools --> Preferences --> Select Page mi escono i seguenti menu: Player - Language - Media Library - Network Video - Audio - Buffering - Advanced: File associations NON C'E'

E' possibile che io stia usando una versione diversa (mi pare che questa sia l'ultima)?

eccomi! ho la versione 1.20 build 3495, forse effettivamente abbiamo una versione diversa... cmq ti assicuro che il trucco funziona, e poter scaricare tutto col browser originale è un ottima cosa!
