Le novità principali interessano l’interfaccia grafica, che subisce dei piccoli cambiamenti studiati per un migliore utilizzo del terminale; e si rinnova con l’introduzione di nuove icone. L’inserimento dei testi è stato migliorato, con l’aggiunta della tastiera QWERTY in portrait in tutte le schermate.

Il browser web è stato aggiornato alla versione 7.3, e offre ora prestazioni migliori ed un più facile, e immediato, utilizzo. Anche l’usabilità della galleria fotografica è stata migliorata.

Numerose applicazioni, inoltre, verranno aggiornate per fixare i bachi conosciuti, e migliorare le prestazioni. Tra queste troviamo Ovi Maps, Ovi Store, Social ecc… Per gli smartphone della ESeries, invece, l’update include anche la chat con Microsoft Communicator Mobile, e miglioramenti vari al client email.

Symbian Anna sarà rilasciato nei prossimi mesi per tutti i dispositivi Symbian^3. Intanto, Nokia France ha inserito su Youtube un video introduttivo di Symbian Anna in funzione sul Nokia C7-00.

Per il Nokia E66 ed E71 (versione NoBrand) è stato rilasciato oggi un nuovo update che porta il firmware alla versione 500.21.009 su entrambi i cellulari.

L’aggiornamento, oltre a correggere diversi bachi di sistema, incorpora nella ROM il nuovo Ovi Maps 3.04 con navigazione vocale gratuita, inoltre aggiorna all’ultima versione QuickOffice, il client di Ovi Store, il lettore musicale e Lotus Notes Traveler.

Firmware 22.0.110

Questa mattina è stato rilasciato un nuovo aggiornamento firmware per il Nokia N97 NoBrand. Si passa dalla versione 21.0.045 alla 22.0.110.

Tra le novità più importanti introdotte con questa nuova versione software citiamo il nuovo Ovi Maps 3.04 che ora è integrato nel sistema liberando quindi spazio prezioso dalla memoria interna.

- il tema di default denominato ‘Nseries 2′ ora consuma meno batteria
- ottimizzazione della RAM

L’aggiornamento PR1.2 introduce diverse novità e corregge i bachi di sistema. Tra le novità più importanti troviamo il supporto alle videochiamate, il miglioramento della gestione delle email, la modalità portrait in fase di navigazione web e l’aggiornamento di Ovi Maps.

- Video call option can now be enabled in contacts, SMSs to landlines can be disabled, voicemail number can be set.

- Qt 4.6.2 is now preinstalled on the OS.

Nokia N900

Dopo il rilascio di qualche giorno fa del minor update v1.2009.44-1 Nokia ha reso disponibile un nuovo e importante aggiornamento che porta Maemo 5 alla versione 2.2009.51-1.

Il download è disponibile tramite NSU e Over the Air da Gestioni Applicazioni e pesa 85,9 MB. Il nuovo firmware introduce una miriade di bug fix e miglioramenti come potete vedere dal changelog riportato qui sotto.

E’ stato inoltre aggiornato il client N-Gage e migliorata tutta la parte web dedicata alla condivisione delle immagini.
